Creating your own talking avatar and adding it on top of a video is easy and straightforward once you know how to do it and what tools to use. However, when I did it for the first time, it took me a significant amount of time to figure it out and find the right tool. Note: If you don’t want to use your own face as an avatar, Midjourney is all you need for that part. But if you want to use your own face, it’s extremely hard to do so in Midjourney. Below, I’ve described my process of figuring out how to make my own talking avatar with a natural voice. It was a long, tedious process of trial and error, but you’ll get a shortcut with this bonus training. First, I needed to create an avatar image suitable for animation and soon found out that I couldn’t make a usable avatar with the most popular app whose name starts with the letter “L.” I literally paid for the L app to make, wait for it, …. 804 avatar variations, and I still couldn’t make any of them work for animation. Now, imagine reviewing 804 images, selecting dozens of possible candidates, and then trying many of them within various apps – it was a real time hog and a ton of frustration. After that, I tried several more apps until I finally found one that created all the avatars you see in the video. I’ll share that app’s name with you in this bonus training.
